Why didn't your keyboard come with an adapter? Did you buy it on Ebay?

Get the adapter. It's expensive. I got two in case one died on the job. This happened once years ago with my PSR-740, and I don't want this to happen again.

Your solution might appear penny wise, but it is actually pound foolish.
