AJ,
I see nothing wrong going in the direction of softsynth.. There are some awsome programs out there, and with the PSR-2000, and PA-80 you'd have a great set up..... It would be great if there were several options for every keyboard. Imagine say a PSR-2000 available in keyboard, rack, and softsynth

Wow that would be awsome. I've heard you music AJ and I think you're a very talented musician. I think the two boards you have now are great keyboards, and with the addition of softsynths you'd have one hell of a set up. Softsynths really have made music production so much easier too... Granted I love the arrangers, synths, and workstations, but none of those will give you the control over sequencing that a good computer based program will... I honestly think you should keep what you have. I do understand the issue with key feel.. The PSR's are terrible... Yamaha makes great keyboards, but they really need to do something about the keybeds..
