Those are a couple of good points Wilkes. Kurzweil has said that their latest release of the K2000 OS is probably the last. It's probably pretty safe if Simon goes with that and makes sure that he has the latest OS installed as part of the purchase price.

The KDFX, apparently, makes a *huge* difference on the sound of the K2500 and, from what many people say, is a must.

If money is not an object or if you can afford a few more pennies, the K2500 is a better solution than the K2000 and you'll be able to grow with it. You'll need to be very happy with what the K2000 can do today as it probably won't change in the future.
