Jamey lives about 80 miles from here in New Albany, Indiana, just across the river from Louisville. I met him in 1966 at the St. James Art festival in Louisville and played a few tunes with him. Haven't run into him in over 40 years, but he is one of the most respected music educators around today. 10 years ago, many of the horn players doing OMB used his tracks for perforemances.
