Actually I am not sure I understand your problem. I do know that with your .wav files you have to have an MSP file to be able to load your sample into memory.

I have not started to fool with the sampler on the X1 yet so I may not be the best for that, but I have loaded some MSP's on my X1 and they worked fine. There are 8 locations that you can load samples into RAM.
