The Tyros 2 drums are better than the ones on the 3000, but they still don't have that really Live sound. Adjusting the e.q.s and levels will get you close.
I still think the Yamaha arrangers tend to sound like CD recordings, where some of the others, such as Roland, Ketron, Korg sound more like live drummer and bass players. It's a personal choice. Both are good, but in different ways.
