Luis ,
Of the 307 styles on the SD1 , 198 of them are from the X1 .
Now that Ketron has release new SD1 styles ( converted from the XD9 series ) you should be really happy with what comes with the keyboard and the new library ! Also with OS 4.0 there will be even more styles to consider .
I have over 800 converted styles that can be used on both the SD1 and XD9 . Not enough time to go through them all . Even When I do get to them , I find myself sticking with the Ketron styles .
Another thing that I like to do is remix styles . Take a guitar strum from 8 beat 4
and add it to the style "Tribal Age" has turn out being very cool . Even if you create your own style , you can incorporate parts of existing styles into your create style .
Please remember that I have been demonstrating the SD1 at music trade shows and really get into working the keyboard . I am now a retired demonstrator due to conflicts of interest . But non the less , I still love this keyboard .
Recently on a recording I was using an R&B style . I recorded the song and later layered an isolated part from a Techno style . I just match the time signature and with key start you can sync the parts together using multiple tracks of a hard disk recorder . I will have MP3's of this example later next week . I am currently on a mini vacation in Florida ! Dano
