Not at all.

This program will simply help you in sampling a MIDI instrument.

Instead of sampling each note for each program, you define the events list and it will do the job by itself.

Suppose that you have to sample 128 programs, 64 notes for each program, 2.5 seconds of duration for each note...
This is a 6 hours long job, extremely tedious... a big waste of time.
Now you can program SOM to do this job for you. It tooks 6 hours (or more) as before, but you are free to do something better. To me, it is a pefect overnight job: you start SOM, go to bed and, the morning after, the job is done, and 8192 WAV files are waiting for you in your hard disk.
