This was actually mentioned on another thread, but I thought it would be better to separate it rather then hijack the thread.
The questions are;
1. What boards have Factory protected styles etc
2. Do you think manufactures should allow them to be changed by the user?
3. The reasons (If the answer to 2 is yes) why you would like them changeable (Not enough user slots etc)
4. Should manufactures provide more user slots, (How many do you think is realistically appropriate) and if so would this negate the need for the factory user slots to be made alterable by the user.

As far as Wersi OAS instruments go, since OAS5 (2003) they all now have factory protected slots, (A request made by a lot of Wersi owners) and since OAS7 (2005) the factory and user sections are now separate, (Although they can of course be mixed with each other) and consequently no user slots are lost.
