It's that time again when money's burning a hole in my pocket and I want to purchase a new synth. Trouble is I need guidance.
I've narrowed the choice down to 2, a Novation Supernova or a Korg Z1.
Common sense tells me to go for the Supernova. It has a stupid amount of simultaneous fx, big fat sounds, more polyphony, easy to use and create new sounds and glows in the dark.
...however, I'm really tempted by the Korg Z1 because:
It's going to become a cult classic when(if..) Korg stops production of it. It looks like a true silver dream machine. But the main reason is that it has a totally unique and special 'sound' all of it's own, whilst the Supernova has been used to death and doesn't really offer anything significantly new sound wise.
...but it's also supposed to be a real pain to program.
What should I do?. I'd be getting more for the money with the Supernova, but the Korg would (with time and effort) give me a special edge and sound.
Can anyone comment on the Z1's fx section, is it any good?. Are the delays tempo matched and is the master stereo delay any good?.
I'd really aprechiate some help!.
Thanks.
