I just called Mark Anderson of Yamaha Portable Keyboards at the NAMM show and asked him a few more questions. Some answers are not yet known because the models at the show are still prototype and not production models and he would have to check with the actual engineers regarding some more specific specifications.
First, the 3000 has a screen Yamaha calls a CueVGA screen where the Tyros uses an actual VGA screen. I don't know what this means, but there you go!
We think the operating system is in Rom and would require a chip replacement, but not positive.
We don't know if PC software will be available for editing the sounds on the PSR3000 yet.
There are the same 2 pedal jacks as on the PSR2100.
That's it for now.
