John, unfortunately, the way things are set up with the 3000s USB, this is still not an option. I mainly use the laptop for midi files, lyrics and MP3s. The laptop audio out is then fired through the 3000s auxilary input. The midi files, which are played through Van Basco's Midi Karaoke Player
Van Basco are fired from the laptop's USB to the keyboard's USB-2.0-A connection. Using this technique, I can have an MP3 and Midi file ready to go on the laptop, while at the same time be performing a song from either the MFD or a registration. As soon as one song ends, the next is beginning with a single click of the mouse or pressing laptop's enter key. Sure makes life a lot more fun.
