i am using a behringer ub series mixer, connected to a m-audio audiophile 2496 soundcard.

this particular sound card got alot of good reviews, even if it's a little bit old, but is agood choice. you might want to check also the new audiophile 196, or 1010lt.

i have had only good experiences working with m-audio harware and drivers.

i should add that audiophile is a product intended for making music, or recording. it's good asio drivers makes it best choice for 100 bucks. this is what i paid for it.
creative produce consumer sound cards, but i heard also good things about their latest audigy series. still, for professional result, i'd still go with m-audio.
