I have listened to both and have to say that I tend to agree, to the tune of buying a pair of the Mackies, and could not be happier... they saved me the cost of a sub - they are THAT good at the bottom.

If budget IS a concern, then there are a plethora of low-priced monitors out there (try Truth Audio for some amazing U.S.-made monitors) but if you are going to sit in front of a pair on a daily basis, the Mackies rule!
