I have also started to use the MFD when I gig. If one or two of the variations of any of the styles in the preset or user area is good for your song you can simply set the tempo and store this in a personal MFD. This makes selecting these songs pretty quick - For more complex adjustments to other parameters or that use styles that load from elsewhere then I use registrations.

Some people just use registrations named after each song - Travelling Easy (Gary) has done this and has gig disks freely available for all on the PSR Tutorial site if you have a 2000 or 3000

It's just nice to have a choice.
