"who buys cheap, buys twice"

Well put there

rolandfan,
The Triton Le is a nice board. Truly an excellent beginners synth. It has the Triton sound engine, but not all the bells and whistles you'll find on a regular Triton. Sounds are alwasy subjective. Korgs acoustic sounds aren't bad at all. Everyone has their personal tastes in this category.
The Le has a great sequencer (well above all keyboards in the $1,000 price range). It also has great voice editing options too. Even though it doesn't have the ability to load voice expansion boards, you can still add a sampler. If memory serves me correctly I think it only has (one) insert effect available for a performance/song. However, you can still adjust individual reverb, and chorus settings on each track/part.
Overall a great synth for the money. It is exactly as advertised..., "A Triton For Those On A Budget".
