Yes, I was actually able to record, but not without deleting the existing track(s) first. With Michael Besedem's 'StyleEdit' software , http://www.svpworld.com/util_styleedit.htm
it's now possible to not only record a fresh track (afater deleting the original one first), but also, append notes of an existing track (in real time) or edit in step record mode.
