it's funny you made that joke, because on some older Technics models this was possible.

Technics had often put the same chips in the lower models as the medium models.

With a certain combination of buttons and keys pushed, you could call up sounds that weren't supposed to be on that particular model.

Once you had the sound, you could then save it in reg. memory to call it up at any time.

Pretty cool feature. We found that out by accident one day and were able to reproduce it on all models (I was working in a KB store for Technics at the time).
