I worked with it some more, and after fiddling with it I wasn't too happy with the way it sounds, so I tried a few other things as well. I think the breathe noise is right in the sample itself, so really the adjustment I did aboove had the effect of just be dulling the sound and the eg so that you don't notice the breathe noise as much. I tried some other things and it is still there, but much less noticable. I mixed the regular flute sample with the jazz flute sample, adjusted some synth parameters to brighten the regular flute sample just a hair, and made a new user patch, and that worked pretty well too. In fact I like the sound I got quite a bit. Still has some breathe, but not like it was before.
