The 128mb card is just what Fostex includes with the unit to get you up and running out of the box. You can buy larger cards for more recording time. If you get a chance go to www.americanmusical.com do a search for the MR-8 and with that you'll find the downloadable manual in PDF... In the first few pages there is a chart explaing recording time with cards above 128mb..
