I don't get on a soapbox a lot but need to vent my frustration with Yamaha. In the past three months, i have had nothing but problems with Yamaha products. First, my Tyros went south with a big problem and is still in the hands of the technician to be repaired, simply because of a delay in getting parts from Yamaha. Second, I borrowed another Tyros from my dealer and that went up three days ago, The "e&b keys will not work. I took that back to the dealer and borrowed another Tyros. after getting to the gig, found that the trim button for the vocalist will not work correctly and when th trim is increased volume wise, it does nothing but hiss. I also have a PSR 2000 that still has not been repaired under warrenty for lack of parts. Third, i purchased a set of YSTMS50 speakers from BestBuy.Com which was a final sale and after a weeks use, they went up. After paying for repair, found that the subwoofer's volume will not increase. I guess that the MS50's will end up in the trash can very soon. My point in all of this is as much as i love the Tyros it's not worth a pig's foot if it is not reliable and parts are not readily available when a problem arises. Neve again will i purchase another Yamaha product. I will start looking for another manufactuer that has quaility and reliability .It seems since Yamaha stopped making thier instruments in Japan, and are now made in China for greed reasons, just like many American companies are doing, the quality and reliability is no longer a factor. Steve Demming , if you read this please forward it to your company. My mind will not change on this subject. No longer will i rely on a keyboard with great potential but with absolute lousy reliability. Bob ( Hop my bloodpreasure can go down now.)
