I just bought the D8, not quite sure what you are trying to do, I use Cake Walk Pro 5.0 and Korg M1, I do my back tracks then dump to tracks 1&2 of the D8, I have some Q's Re: the D8, maybe we could chat EMAIL dvollrath@saltspring.com ICQ # 17221621
