I must be the 'outlaw' in this category then. I play with a 5 piece band (AFRICARIBE) that I formed a couple of years ago (Merengue, Salsa, Reggae, Soca, Zouk, World Beat ...)

* Durmmer
* Sax
* Percussion (min)
* 2 (nice latin) vocalists
* The X1 (now replaced with the SD1) with me

Keeping everyone in sync has been a rather challenging issue hence some of the features offered on these keyboads have been used to my advantage. I also MIX the overall sound as I play and sing (using a YORKSVILLE powered mixer) so believe me when I say I love music! Prior to the shows though, I do most of my set-up at home and do honor the REGISTRATIONS! Out of 24 songs performed within 2 sets lasting about 1hr20mins each, only 2 might be MIDIFILES, while the rest are heavily invested in ARRANGERS (of which maybe 2% of those used are those that come with the keyboard!).

Anyone else out there program their own styles for the most part?
