Dennis:
Even though I am aware of sometimes being too critical about these machines, I am "flabbergasted" to find out how little people think about things that do not affect them “directly”, but in reality they turns out that they do get affected “ indirectly”.
Why do I say that? The chief reason for which companies like Yamaha and Ketron get away with these deficiencies is "indifference" on the part of the KB owners. It's beyond me why this thread hasn't generated any "curiosity" on the part of the YK9 owners to at least look into their own KBs and find out what I am talking about here. As I said initially, this “Parameter Block” problem is "systemic" in all their machines; and yet, no one (except you) has had anything to comment about it. And then we wonder why, again, these companies get away with murder?
Even If some of us never get to use all the features on a KB, it's the mere principle of companies not delivering what they promise in their designs and being held accountable for what they do not "deliver".
I can't believe that the PSR9000 has been out for all these years and no one, repeat, no one, has either caught this bug or brought it up for discussion and, worst of all, is willing to live with it, without at least making Yamaha aware of it, or making a comment on this great forum.
This is one time that I am glad to be a “Royal Pain” and that I did bring it up.
Hopefully they will correct this for ”all” Y9K owners; and hopefully soon.
Regards,
Mario
