If your serious about sampling many instruiments, even the Motif may let you down. You can install the SIMMs but you will still only get 64 mb to work with. Sampling is ok on the Motif but I find it easier to do and laid out more logically in a dedicated sampling device than on any workstaion I've tried. I use only software sampling devices, and I rarely use the sampling function at all in my Motif. 64 mb doesn't really go all that far either, especially if you start playing around with good piano samples. Fortunately, I like the piano sample inside of the Motif just fine and I don't often use other piano samples for my work.
