I admit to being a sort of piano "strummer". I'd like to think that I'm always aware of voicings and inversions, but the simple truth is ..... I probably have "pet chords" that I use the crap out of with no brain input whatsoever.
When I'm conscious ...I try to mix up the voicings often to add flavor to the mix.
