My step-father has twice tried hearing aids. The last time he bought one, supposedly the best available, for $1500. It was programmed by computer, and he went back for it to be "tweaked" by the computer. It also came with a 3-month return option. He tried very hard to like it, but was constantly turning it up and down. He finally decided to return it and get his money back.
