The mic boom that works with the QuikLok Z-series stands also works with the Monolith (this is not mentioned at all on the QuikLok website, I found out by chance since I also own a Z-stand). The boom attachment is called the QuikLok Z-728. Although the stand will fold with the boom attached, it won't fit in my car trunk with it on so I have to remove it for transport. Like Scott, I find that the Monolith lays flat in the trunk and takes very little space.
