Wow! I think Yamaha shot themselves in the foot here, and they're at fault for the PSR-1500 having such poor sales here.
Yammie really dropped the ball when they discontinued the PSR-550 without releasing a newer version. It used to be that the GAP between the models wasn't so big. At one point it was the PSR-550, and the one above at the time was the PSR-1000. It was a worthy upgrade from the 550. Now there's no in between here. Below the PSR-1500 is the PSR-450 which is nothing more than a glorified PSR-350. The PSR-450 sells for $499, and the PSR-1500 sells for nearly $1,000! That's a BIG price gap between models. I remember when the PSR-550 was still being made there were a number of PSR-1000's and 1100's out there.
