Reformat the USB Thumb Drive in FAT and it should work just fine

Ditto.

With your thumb drive inserted into your Windows PC/laptop. On Desktop: double click 'my computer' icon. Right click on USB Thumb Drive icon and select 'Format'. Check file 'system type' and if required, change it to: 'Fat32. Make sure format option box, 'Quick Format' is NOT checked. Click on START. Re-formatting will begin. This will COMPLETELY ERASE all data on the USB Thumb drive and re-format it in FAT32 format. Good luck.
