I have a V Stand for my G-70 (on loan) Have also put an RD700SX and an XV-88 on it. (Both 88 keys) Besides a tiny bit of "waggle" when I really pound hard. This is the most stable stand I have ever used. And it's sexy to boot!
As far as the accident waiting to happen, Even with one leg actually moved to the folded position, the V stand didn't want to tip with any of my boards on it.
Seems rock solid to me. Best part is folding it up only takes about 10 seconds and the gig bag I got for it keeps it looking pristine,
