I know your frustration. When I first got my iS40, I couldn't believe I had to change the split point every single time I turned it on. But that's the way it is. On Korg & Roland, you just have to use a Perf Memory to "set up" the keyboard the way you like it. Even though the Technics doesn't do exactly what you wish, it's still a step closer.
