In Holland the company Dutch View (former NOB) uses several Yamaha mixers, espescially in their vans. They are professional mixers so they are not in the price range of Behringer and such, but Yamaha does make good mixers.
Cheap mixers, whatever brand, all seem to have the same problems. If they're analogue, faders, knobs and buttons will get dirty and give you problems as do bad connectors. Digital mixers don't have that problem, but money is saved by using low quality AD-DA converters.
