Just to put things in perspective, even for our friends in the UK:

In Holland the price for unleaded is about Euro 1.20 per liter. If I calculate it correctly that makes it 1.20 * 3.785 = 4.45 Euro = $ 5.94/gallon.

It's a miracle that we still have money to buy a new keyboard every now and then!
