What am I thinking?????
I now have three generations of Korg arrangers at home. i5s - is35 - i30 ! Add to that the arrival of my new(old) RHODES 88 key piano, and I'm definatly going backwards!
Seriously, I'm excited about the Rhodes, and the Korgs ...... well, they just multiply when it's dark! Must be an Easter Bunny type thing !
I'm having surprisingly good luck with the 2000, but I just don't trust the keys to hold up to the daily workout. That's why the "reserves" are at the ready in the studio at home !
Boy ....... I wish I could just be happy with one thing ....... even for a little while! It's amazing. The last setup that really knocked my socks off was in the late 80's. I had a Roland Rhodes digital piano(88keys), a Yamaha drum machine and a Roland D70. NOTHING automatic. NOTHING sequenced. I miss those simple days. The problem with that setup was portability. Funny ( and TRUE) story about that gear -
When I left that room after a year long 5 night per week contract. I sold the entire rig to my replacement ! Right down to the mic cable ! I grabbed my check, said my goodbys, kissed the bartender bye bye(she was a cutie pie !), and I was outta there !
