That really isn't the greatest news for me Uncle Dave. I am sending my 2000 out for repair tomorrow ( 86 days into it ) because the discs no longer pop out of the floppy drive. They just sit there when I press the button. Seems like a faulty spring. So now it'll be gone for however long that takes to be fixed, and then I'll have to send it out again for an OS update. I'll be sure to lodge my complaints tomorrow though ( 87th day ). I have noticed that the registration settings fail at critical times, even though I have gone over the way they are supposed to work thoroughly and understand the initial setup functions and dialogue and the freeze function. I use my registrations mainly to recall voice layers and the corresponding mixer / effects settings. When I recall a registration, the accomp effects and settings are also affected, even when I didn't change them at all in saving the registration. This even happens when I use the freeze function. I had absolutely no problems like this with the 740. Occasionally, even the mixer settings / effects for the things I DID save are not recalled properly either, whether I have the freeze function on or off. There is no way I can trust the board for live performing the way it is now. I wouldn't be too happy if I got a distortion effect on an acoustic guitar or sax part. ( It happens now and then )
