Hi DanO: As Roel mentioned in an earlier posting thread, the SD1 manual is actually available for FREE download NOW ! (Tuesday 9/18th). The downloadable manual is available in English, German, and of course Italian. Though I'm not currently an owner of the SD1, I looked thru the 140 page manual and found it very organized and it seemed easy to understand.
