I too find inserting the speakers into tripod stands (with speaker sitting 'on its side' on the floor) a real back saver. This method works especially well with the EV SxA100's, as I don't even have to re-position the unit onto its side becauses that's the default position it sits, when putting the unit down after carrying it by its carrying handle positioned on the opposite side. - Scott
