Eventually the SD1's will have the new system. I've made 12 floppy disks at my store today and I've been contacting my local customers to come in if they don't want to download everything in their computers and I will install 4.0. I've already opened up my remaining inventory and replaced 3.2 with 4.0. Besides the improved sounds and styles the new functions added are giving the player so many of the features wished for over the past 2 years.
Being able to quickly turn off the accomp and only have drums and the voice you are playing is now provided. Being able to select only one of the 8 accomp. tracks and solo it with only drums is now provided (before you would have to mute each track one at a time).
The drum remix feature from the XD9 is now provided allowing you to play a midi file and while playing switch to any style in the keyboard to use as the drum track.
The bassist function has been added allowing you to quickly play left hand bass and change the styles chords using the right hand with it's voice also heard.
A huge improvement is that now, any patterns you wish to use in additon to the factory styles and flash ram styles can now be viewed and choosen in the same manner you choose factory and flash styles. Before, you had to go to a pattern list instead of by catagory and find the pattern you wanted to use and push load. Now, just select the pattern and at the beginning of the next measure the new pattern plays.
There are so many more new features but these are some of the ones I can remember right now. I had been using a beta version which had a lot of features not working and now that I've loaded in the finished version, everything is working great.
