You are asking a very good question. 10 years ago when I bought my first yamaha keyboard, the demo on the keyboard was spectacular; however, the manual warned that this is a special demo and may not be possible to emulate or create. 10 years ago is long time. But one experience tells me to think twice before buying a keyboard based on factory demo. To be honest with you, from the description of this board, the real difference in Tyros is the 10 guitar voices (called mega voices) which are specially made for styles. That means the real real real difference between PSR9kpro and Tyros are in those NEW styles that utilize those Mega voices.
Surely, the overall sounds of Tyros improved, but how much can they improve of the current PSR92k? For professional recording and performance, the string sound of Yamaha was always spectacular since the days of PSR SQ16. The only need was the sounds of strumming guitars within styles and those what really count.
