I have the PA80 and the 2000 ( well a replacement 1000 but hopefully I'll have a 2000 again soon is more like it .. that's another story well documented on other threads )

For me it's this simple

Live Play ( as a one or 2 man act where auto accomp / styles are involved ) : advantage 2000

Composing / Studio, especially if you need cool synth sounds: advantage PA80

One drawback to all this stuff. Style creation, depending on how your board works can be challenging enough as it is. If you aren't very proficient on keys .. it could become an exercise in frustration and futility. Keys are my primary instrument and I can do most of the parts very well. Still at times I struggle, especially with drum parts... Advantage: any good Synth or module, arranger or not, plus software that helps you create good styles such as Jammer Pro
