Diki, that last sentence has me a little worried. What part of the system could compromise the performance? I have a new, capable computer (E6600/2gig/1tb hd), a Steinberg VSL2020 card (no Vista drivers, however) and a A70 (and A33). I can get by with 76 keys if it means buying a new 88 key controller. I have to assume you mean the A70. Is it's age a problem? Is there some built-in latency with some of the older controller boards? I am used to the keybed/keyfeel (not in love with it though....too soft for piano, too hard for expressive synth voices). Please elaborate.

PS: Just had a thought. Could the older ones have less incremental steps (1-128) for volume and expression? Is this in the specs somewhere?

PS: PS: Apoligies to Squeak. Didn't mean to hijack this thread but talk of piano sounds always gets a lot of interest.
