Thanks Rikki. I played around with the eq settings after, and it helped, but I agree with Donny too. Perhaps setting the whole drum track a bit lower would help.

If that doesn't get it, I like this style enough that I'll open it in XG works, select all of the cymbal parts, and drop the velocity on them a bit. It's easy and quick enough to do. All I have to do is click on the cymbal note in the piano roll and all of recorded cymbal notes will be selected. Then I can use the tool in XG works to reduce velocities for a group, and simply save it to style again.
