I intend to leave the SM card permanently in the slot and use a USB device as backup and to hold any obscure stuff that doesn't merit being held on the "main" storage.

On the other hand everything I consider as "main", "possible" or "only if someone slips me a tenner" stuff will all fit easily on a 128 meg SM card so perhaps my brain is getting overexited at the though of having so much capacity available directly (Owners of boards with in-build hard disc are allowed to smile smugly to themselves at this point).
