Hi

Low polyphony is one of the major drawback of the Yamaha PSR S500.

As you are aware, the polyphony is 32. However, many of the voices use 2 polyphony per note, i e with some voices you can't play more than 16 notes simultaneously. Such voices are: All live! sweet! and cool! voices, as well as string and guitar voices, and more.

If you have played a DGX model you should know that PSR S500 polyphony issues are even worse.

I haven't played the instrument but I intend to, though I am not gonna buy it.

Regards,
George
