If I recall correctly, It's kinda' like playing with a live midi file. You create the chord progression and timing the first time around, hit the switch, and it continues with the same timing and progression while you play the entire length of the keyboard like a piano, etc...

I believe the reason the feature died with the G-1000 was no one used it--another neat idea that just didn't go very far.
