All of you are fantastic!! Your help is great. I have been poring over the specs of the 3K and the Tyros over and over. There are several features that make the Tyros more desirable, but I guess that for my personal needs, those features are not worth the $ 1000 - $ 1200 extra outlay, not counting the speakers. Besides which, the 3K has a few things going for it that the Tyros does not, particularly in the area of computer friendliness.
Additionally, it appears that the Tyros may be nearing the end of it's product cycle so it be would be to my benefit to wait until Tyros II comes out and then seriously consider the new one. And as Uncle Dave pointed out, it will be a lot easier to sell the used 3K rather than the Tyros.
So guys, I think I'll be picking up a new 3000 pretty quick. I'll be in touch with you
and I'm sure that I'll have many other inquiries for all of you.
Sincerely,
Grandpa Tom
