Maybe you should try to send a program change parameter to the Fantom. Try to define a so called midi table on your Fantom that converts the incoming program change parameters into the wonted sound numbers.
Normally there should be a chapter in your manual which explains the way you have to do it. Sorry, I can't tell you more about it because I didn't ever use a midi table...
