OK Squeak, let me see if I got this..
The MTv generator is a soft synth module ? Is this correct ? If so, your 550 must be set so that your keyboard (PSR) transmits on midi channel one. There should be an option to set the main voice ( panel voices ) to transmit on ch 1. You can assign it that way as well and just turn the PSR's local control off. In this setup it does not matter how you set the PSR's midi receive channels. Than XG works should "see" the MTV program as a soft synth and it should show up in the XGW preferences ( midi out ) as a midi device.
