I wasn't at all impressed with the sounds coming out of the G-1000. Yes, the keys were somewhat firmer, but for me it doesn't make a bit of difference one way or another. The only thing I can go by is what my aging ears hear (or sometimes do not hear) coming out of the amp. Of course you must keep in mind that my hearing is shot to hell, especially some of the higher frequencies. Fortunately, both boards were hooked up to an amp in full stereo.

The G-1000 is a nice board--no question about it, but it's not for me. Yes, I'm a Yammie fan, but believe me when I tell you that if I found something that did a better, overall job I would snap it up in a heartbeat, then go about the arduos task of reprogramming everything to that board. Once that was done, I would quickly buy a second one for a backup system, program it and have it ready to go.
